Hello to the void, how are you today?

I’ve always thought about blogging, but never for more than a few seconds if I'm being honest.

However, after countless people telling me I should write more, family and friends who like to know everything becoming more spread out, and my time dwindling for long phone conversations… I decided it’s time!

I’ll warn you that I don’t really know what I’m doing here, I’m not even sure if I’m “committed to the bit”, but we’re here and we’re going to try our best to make this work. Little by little, as I figure this all out, maybe more of you will join me on my adventures. Then instead of writing to this invisible void, I’ll actually have some people to communicate with.

Until then, I guess let’s get to know each other. Uhhh… I’ll start. My name’s Codi-Alyssa, most people just call me Codi. I’m an entrepreneur, photographer, and graphic designer turned caregiver, nanny, psychology student, and self-proclaimed hot mess express. I’m sure I’ll give more details about myself as the days progress on here, but really… I don’t live a very exciting life. I enjoy traveling (much more than my wallet does), I’m a chonky girl who loves to explore new foods and cultures, I’m a Carolina Hurricanes season ticket member with a fairly newfound love for hockey, and I have a wildly sunny disposition considering the dumpster fire of a day-to-day I’m normally wading through over here.

That leads me to this point… I don’t even know what to call this. Is it a lifestyle blog? A travel blog? Maybe a foodie blog or a social justice blog? Is there a word in the dictionary that covers all of those in one umbrella? What about “girl who overuses commas, uses the word ‘like’ way too often, and is always stopping herself from putting exclamation marks at the end of each sentence”? Probably not a word for that either, huh? Well, add in a little sprinkle of neurospicy goodness to all of the above and that’s probably what you’ll find here.

I look forward to sharing my adventures, discoveries, projects, and rants with all zero of you in hopes that number will grow to at least one committed cousin, grandparent, or goldfish.

Talk soon!
xoxo,
-C
